THE PARTNERSHIP by Bracha - Week in Review: June 27-July 5, 2019 / Sivan 25-Tammuz 2, 5779
THANK YOU TO JUDY YUDA for 5 years of leadership, friendship and directing our Partnership forward! Judy retires from the Jewish Agency after 21 years of service and directing many Partnerships. She has taken a new position as director of Friends of the Galilee Medical Center so she will be here with us! Welcome to Sharon Chait, our new interim Director. B’hatzlacha!!
Six volunteers began a Volunteer Development course with 2 other Partnerships, being given by the Northern Partnerships Director, Iris Posilinsky. Heidi is stewarding the group through the 4 session course.
Getting ready to leave on Tuesday with 9 other Israelis for a pre-Summit visit to Indianapolis and the Summit itself. Michelle has been planning visits, learning and fun for all the visitors in Indianapolis.
Efrat met at the GMC this week to discuss featuring health related start ups in all our communities.
The TPC is piled high with furniture which will be assembled at the beginning of the week. The actual move will be later this month- no later than July 31!!
Lovely farewell dinner and evening for Judy (the Israeli July 4th celebration!) in the garden of Michael and Ilana Aaronson, with Raya Strauss and Shmuel Ben Dror in attendance. Representatives from many of the Partnerships Judy served were there and our chairs showed unusual talent as they sang in her honor.
Four talented young women volleyball players from the Western Galilee (who play in Momanet) played (and won!) in the Catchball Tournament in Youngstown and created new connections in Omaha. https://www.facebook.com/search/top/?q=partnershiptogether%20westerngalilee&epa=SEARCH_BOX
Working on the signs and donor wall for the TPC. Six federations will have their names on specific offices for over a $35,000 contribution. Within the office suite, we are creating a Memorial Wall for Damon Rose, z’l, former Partnership Director.
Planning for my next visit to communities in Sept. 2019. Possible stops in Peoria and Springfield and with Michelle to the Texas communities.
Shabbat Shalom,
Bracha
