Sharon Chait, currently director of the Zichron Yaakov Partnership will be the interim Partnership director (after Judy leaves June 30th) until a tender goes out for the position. Sharon will join us at the Summit. WELCOME SHARON!!

Making a round of calls with federations to review the Calendar of Opportunities and encourage Summit registration. We have 15 first timers and 11 communities so far – Stay tuned. Israeli members of the Partnership committees will join us – first timers – together with Avital, Efrat and myself.

Planning for the Summit – Conference calls to plan Monday: Engagement: Shared language and skills, evening VIP tour of Notre Dame, dancing with the camp kids and the Partnership shuk.

Michelle Korin together with the federation staff  will host a pre- Summit “Meet our Jewish Community” in Indianapolis for all the Israelis coming to the Summit.

Rena Neiger (Dayton) was in the Western Galilee- working with us, Efrat and Unistream to create the infrastructure to have a US twinning partner for the Start Up Nation project.

With the Forum of Community Representatives, met with the new JAFI CEO, Amira Aharonovitch for a JAFI update. JAFI is embarking on a facilitated strategic planning process, involving Federation representatives to recraft the organization going forward.

Planning for the COL (Community Opinion Leaders) trip to be in February. Each community can send a non-Jewish community leader together with a staff or lay person. Now is the time to reach out and recruit the leaders. Contact Heidi or Bracha for more information.
