Expressing solidarity with the Dayton community who first had a KKK rally in Court House square and was then hit by a tornado.

  • Last Friday, with Margalit (the Partnership Lone Soldier champion), two of the Lone Soldiers visited the Kindergarten, met the children and received the baskets that the children prepared for them. The kids saluted the soldiers and the soldiers were no less excited!
  • With Efrat, preparation for welcoming the Start Up Nation students from Budapest who will come to Israel to be with their counterparts from the Naval school and participate in the Start Up competition together.
  • Fifteen Young Adults currently in the Western Galilee Leadership course are enjoying 2 days in Jerusalem on an experiential seminar about Jewish Identity. They will meet with Avraham Infeld, hear about streams in Judaism, eat lunch with a Haredi family and more. This group will travel to communities in November. (so far... Austin, Ft Worth and San Antonio.)
  • Planning, planning for the Summit. Eighteen first timers and 12 communities represented! Fifty five people are registered so far. At the Summit will be an opportunity to learn more about easy Partnership connections for you and your community - Learn2Gether, Book Clubs, “Sharing communities” and more!
  • Delightful meeting with Sharon Chait , the interim Partnership director (after Judy leaves June 30th) to begin to bring her into our Partnership  family.
  • Michelle Korin visited Dayton this week to talk to community members at a parlor meeting about the Summit and Discovery trip. She together with the federation staff  will host a pre- Summit “Meet our Jewish Community” in Indianapolis for all the Israelis coming to the Summit.
  • Initial planning for the Ribbon Cutting of The Partnership Center. New date to soon be announced.
  • Judy and I spent a day to understand the TPC income and our status on collections. Currently working on the Donor Wall. You still have the opportunity to be on the Donor Wall of The Partnership Center. A donation of $1000 will give you a place among the donors who are making this spectacular building a reality! Pledge by return email.

Shabbat Shalom,

Bracha
