Condolences to Yona Fleisher on the loss of her father.

Met with the Israeli riders from the Bikes and Bourbon in Louisville. They had the experience of a lifetime!! Many of them work with an organization in the Western Galilee (Riding Far) which uses biking as a very successful tool for character and group building with youth at risk. The riders are getting ready to host the Altman family who will soon visit from Louisville.

Are you representing your community at the Communities Council?? Use the link above for the registration form and information.

Sunday was the very succesful Zoom call group study  and lecture (by author Lyn Julius) for the Global Day of Jewish Learning. Six communities had groups who met and were part of this exciting platform which enables many groups to see each other and participate in group discussion. Kol hakavod to Avital and Gil for great planning and facilitation.

Had the pleasure of visiting a new Jewish - Arab day care facility in Kibbutz Evron serving Evron and the neighboring community of Mazra (adjacent to Nahariya.) The upcoming Educators delegation will visit the exciting early childhood program which was three years in the making.

Planning, planning for the pre and post CC visits of all the Israelis. Austin, Buffalo, Des Moines, Ft Worth, Indianapolis, NW IN, Omaha, San Antonio, South Bend and  Toledo will each be hosting specific Israelis and Hungarians. Still ironing out the details.

Visited Ayalim in Akko, one of the over 20 "Student Villages" around the country which have been built by and house university students. The Akko house is unique because it is in the Old City and houses both Jewish and Arab students  and their main focus is volunteer work with the children in the Old City.

You can reach my cell phone in Israel with this number 312-340-0372

Debby Barton Grant would like to organize a Consortium communities bus for an upcoming JWRP trip which would visit the Western Galilee after the program. Interested? Contact Debby at dbartongrant@jfgi.org

Shabbat Shalom,

Bracha
