Shoham / Memphis School Twining

An educational framework that connects schools in Shoham with Jewish schools in Memphis. Currently in twining: Shoham Shachaf (democratic) and Rabin elementary, and Yahalom junior high twinned with Bornblum Jewish Community School in Memphis. Avney Hachoshen (elementary) & Shalhevet Ulpana and Yeshiva in Shoham twinned with Margolin Hebrew Academy in Memphis. Connections are not only virtual twin classes from Yahalom school and Bornblum met in April, 2017 for a full day of activity, engagement and celebration of friendship. "We met up with some kids from Yahalom school at Shoham on the last day of the trip [annual school trip to Israel]. They were super nice, and we had a lot of fun. It's great to see how schools work in Israel and how similar but different people are. We were herding sheep together, we learned how to use a bow and arrow, and it was great connecting with Israeli students and see how fast we become one group." Naomi Sandler
