The purpose of the project is to create a Beit Midrash around the Declaration of Independence both in Israel and in Montreal and to meet the two batei midrash with technology for joint study and for creating a new interpretation of the Declaration of Independence. We believe in strengthening the connection between the Montreal and Beer Sheva communities through joint study and working together, connecting different audiences to one another, the Declaration of Independence and Jewish Zionist Democratic values and the development of communities on both sides of the ocean (transatlantic virtual community) around a common, profound, pluralistic, and open study. In each country there will be a study group of at least ten students who will meet once a month. There will be approximately 4 virtual meetings and correspondence.
