A delegation of physicians and medical professionals from Columbus (medicine and nursing) visits the Meir Hospital each year. The visit includes training, gaining experience in emergency medicine and meeting colleagues in the same specialization. The program enables them (following the approval of their medical documentation by the Ministry of Health) to volunteer and provide medical backup services in their area of specialization in Israeli hospitals in times of emergency. As part of the visit, the participants from Columbus are hosted in the homes of the Meir hospital staff and participate in social activity to deepen the interpersonal ties with members of the community in Kfar Saba. The program is carried out in cooperation with the Meir Hospital, whose efforts towards achieving the programs social and Zionist goals are praiseworthy.
