StudioLab Generation 3

This program encourages young people to develop creative thinking in the fields of engineering, science and technology, with special reference to the agricultural environment in which they live and which they may join one day as responsible, contributing adults benefiting the community as a whole, In the two previous StudioLab cycles, the emphasis was on developing creativity in art, enabling connection to the results from research conducted by Sdot Negev students. This year’s program emphasizes creativity in the technological, scientific and engineering fields through hands on experience with the latest technologies, such as agricultural robots designed for greenhouses. The developments are the practical expression of agricultural research conducted by the Sdot Negev Agricultural Research Station over the past ten years, aimed at increasing greenhouse production capacity to help feed the world, because the world’s population will be double today’s by 2050.
